Speech & Language therapy

Prelinguistic skills
Early skills that develop before talking. Babble & Bite can counsel families and work with your little one to help with development of play, joint attention, turn taking, babbling, vocalizations, socialization, imitation, and use of gestures.
Receptive language
Receptive language develops before expressive language. Babble & Bite will work with your little one on language comprehension. Receptive language is how we understand communication around us.
Expressive language
Expressive language is the use of speech, gestures, signs, body language, and facial expressions to communicate wants, thoughts, needs, ideas, and feelings to others.
Speech therapy
Babble & Bite evaluates and treats speech sound disorders including articulation and phonological disorders as well as speech motor planning disorders. Babble & Bite also treats fluency disorders (stuttering and cluttering). Marisa is trained in PROMPT Level 1 and Lively Letters. Both support treatment of articulation, phonology and motor speech goals.
